OUR STORY
We make basics that are better for people + planet.
THE NAT’V FAMILY
Family underpins everything at nat’v. It’s the reason Sandy started the whole shebang in the first place, and it's woven into the fabric of everything we do (see what I did there?).
Seeing the world with her ‘mum-goggles’ on was the catalyst to her building a brand from a sustainability mindset. It was a way to make a positive impact on her daughter's future; to lead by example and show her that you can choose to be part of the solution.
People say there’s the family you’re born into, and then there’s the family you choose. Well, at nat’v HQ, our family is made up of both, and we wouldn’t want it any other way!
SUSTAINABLY MADE FABRIC
Two Types of Comfort: We designed our undies to make sure your tooshie and your conscience can kick back and relax. No grubby supply chains, no toxins and certainly no wedgies here, thank you very much.
Some of our undies are made from renewable wood sources using environmentally responsible processes, some are made from recycled plastic. All of them are made with love and designed to have a reduced footprint on both carbon and water resources.
Our signature fabric is made from super soft, incredibly comfy, natural TENCEL™ Modal fibers:
✔ Anti-Bacterial
✔Gentle On Skin
✔Enhanced Breathability
✔FSC Certified
✔PEFC Certified
✔Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certified
Sustainability is not an afterthought for us, we are a company with a purpose so you could say sustainability is a ‘beforethought’ (yes, we also make up words.)
So if you like wearing super comfy undies that don’t leave you feeling icky about the who/what/where of how our yarns were spun, nat’v should be right up your alley.
There’s a bit more detail about all that sort of thing over here on a page we rather creatively called Sustainability.
THE PACKAGING
- All ink used on our packaging products are soy based
- Our tissue paper is acid free and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
- Our mailers are made from certified compostable material
ETHICALLY MADE FASHION
The fashion and textile industry is notoriously resource heavy, with complicated, exploitative supply chains. That’s why transparency is vitally important to us and we rigorously test our supply chain partners to ensure there is zero tolerance for child labour, discrimination, corruption, bribery, animal cruelty or unsafe working conditions.

“As I have learnt from this journey, becoming sustainable is not always easy. But that has given me more determination to continue to get better – to find more like-minded partners in the supply chain and deliver everyday products with as little carbon, waste and water footprint as possible.”
