Throughout our supply chain, we strive to make sustainable choices, with a combination of recycled and sustainable materials, as well as the best-practice methods selected for minimisation of carbon, waste and water footprint. The aim is to be part of the solution for a better planet, but not to do it alone. We really encourage you to engage with us and share your thoughts and knowledge.

The Facts

Each and every piece we design and bring to the market must align with our core values of creating sustainable garments and giving more choices for likeminded women.

We don’t just do something for the sake of it, when creating pieces there are two things that need to be ticked off before anything goes ahead and they are:

1. Is this better for the end user in terms of comfort and cut?

2. Is this better for our planet in terms of manufacturing processes, materials used, carbon and water footprint? If yes that’s when we go into detailed design.

Our underwear overall strives towards a balance of comfort, sustainability and price point that suit all women.

Our HQ on the Gold Coast

As a brand we are always looking at how to improve in all area of the business and this also includes our head office. Even though our customers do not see it, we really put our money where our mouth is. We are proud to share that in the year 2021 we have implemented the following:

  1. Battery powered forklift – instead of diesel or gas
  2. X 2 Compost bins. One for the kitchen and one for the factory floor and our compostable returns
  3. Skylights to allow more natural light through and use less electricity
  4. LED lighting to save resources and electricity
  5. We only purchase recycled paper and use both side when we can

Our Signature Fabric Blend

Our basics are made with TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres. Our authentic manufacturer of our selected yarn have a commendable reputation for their environmentally responsible closed-loop production process, which transforms wood pulp into cellulosic fibres with high resource efficiency and low environmental impact. This solvent-spinning process recycles process water and reuses the solvent at a recovery rate of more than 99%. This specific yarn has been carefully selected for its minimal footprint on both carbon and water resources.

Our Tissue Paper and Stickers

All ink used on our packaging products are soy based and is made from soybeans. As opposed to traditional petroleum-based ink, soy-based ink is more environmentally friendly.

Our tissue paper is proudly supplied by the company "No Issue". The paper is acid free and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), which is an organisation that works to promote the practice of sustainable forestry worldwide. The FSC ensures customers have the option to choose forest products like paper and wood that have been sourced in an environmentally friendly, socially responsible and economically viable manner.

Acid free paper is paper that is infused in water that yields a neutral or basic pH (7 or slightly greater). It is also lignin and sulfur free.

Our Shipper Bags

Unlike traditional shipping mailers, ours are NOT made from plastic. Our mailers are made from mostly plant-based materials such as PLA and a certified compostable material called PBAT (some seriously fancy ways of saying corn starch and bonding agents).

Our compostable shipping mailers are proudly certified as both Home and Commercially Compostable. Our mailers hold certifications which meet the Australian standards (AS5810 and AS4736) administered by the Australasian Bioplastics Australia (ABA). Our supply chain also complies with ISO 14001 standards, ensuring environmentally ethical sourcing and production.

What We Are Looking Into Further

This year we really want to focus on the end of lifecycle of all our pieces, this is something that is ongoing and we are doing a lot of research to make sure we come out the other end with a good plan to implement. So stay tuned.

We have already learnt volumes from our journey, and we’re determined to continue our pledge to make things better. This will require finding and engaging with more like-minded partners in the supply chain and delivering everyday products with as little footprint as possible.

We encourage you to share your requests or ideas to help us make more of a difference in everything we do.
