Self Care for Down There!

Self Care for Down There!

This month we've partnered up with Eco Cheeks—makers of unbleached, bamboo toilet tissue—to celebrate and educating self-care for down there!

Vulva and vaginal health are an important part of a woman's overall health. Problems here are not only uncomfortable but they can affect fertility, sexual desire and ability to reach orgasm. Ongoing vaginal health issues can also cause stress, relationship problems and impact self- confidence.

Most people use the term vagina when describing female genitalia. What they are actually referring to is the vulva. The vulva is the general name given to the external parts of the female genitals—the parts you can see. It includes labia (the inner and outer lips), the clitoris, the urethral opening (the hole you pee out
of), the anus (a.k.a butthole) and the vaginal entrance.

The vulva has a lot more going on than just the vagina, you could say it’s part of the ‘package’. The vagina is an elastic muscular canal that runs from the uterus (womb), connecting with the cervix through to the external opening. It allows for sexual intercourse, childbirth and is the passage for menstrual flow.
